PELCO N2 Purge Vacuum Desiccator Cabinet
The N2 Purge Desiccator Cabinet has the same specifications as above; but instead of purging the chamber with room air, it can now instead be purged with N2.
The PELCO Basic and PELCO N2 Purge Vacuum Desiccators are available with 3 vacuum connections:
- 1/2″ Hose Connection (standard) to connect vacuum systems with a 1/2″ ID vacuum hose. A 3/8″ Hose Connection is also included for 3/8″ or 1/4″ ID hose.
- NW/KF 16 Connection, compatible with NW/KF 16 vacuum connection hardware

PELCO Mini Hot Vac Vacuum Desiccator
Vacuum and heat; functions as a desiccator or mini-drying station
An efficient way to warm embedding plastics while removing gas bubbles.
The aluminum base is placed on a laboratory heating plate (optional).
A vacuum can be drawn through a provided porthole in the baseplate using an optional vacuum pump.
A digital thermometer (included) measures the plate temperature.
Can be used up to 120 C (248 F). Bell jar made out of soda lime glass, Silicone o-ring seal.

Vacu-Storr High Vacuum Storage Containers
The Vacu-Storr high vacuum storage containers (desiccators) were developed to store materials which are sensitive to dust, moisture, oxygen and other gases found in the environment.
The Vacu-Storr is capable of pumping down to vacuum levels of 10-4 mbar. With a higher conductance valve and capable pump even 10-6 mbar is achievable.
The clean design of these high-tech desiccators with soda-lime glass containers, nickel-plated aluminum cap, viton vacuum seal and metal valve with PTFE shaft seal is capable of holding a vacuum for 5 years to 0.1 bar (atmosphere).
Vacuum connection for pump-down is 1/4″ (6.35mm) barb fitting. Shielded with protective plastic mesh for implosion protection.

Economy Glass Vacuum Desiccators
These economy glass vacuum desiccators are sealed on flat ground flanges.
Made of thick wall, annealed, vacuum grade, soda lime glass.
The top of the lid includes a glass stopcock with connection for a vacuum hose.
The glass desiccators can also be used with desiccant to store sample in a dust-free and low moisture environment.
Includes plastic plate with holes; cavity below the plate should be used for #19960 bulk desiccant.
Use #891-7 silicon based vacuum grease on sealing surfaces for a perfect seal.
Available in three sizes; small, medium and large.

Vacuum-Pressure Indicator

The bellows collapse when there is vacuum within the desiccator and expand under ambient atmospheric pressure.

This low-cost Vacuum Chamber is useful for vacuum drying, degassing procedures, or demonstrations.
It withstands a full vacuum at room temperature.
The chamber is molded of clear polycarbonate for full visibility.
The strong plastic plate has an O-ring which seals against the chamber’s flange.
The polypropylene stopcock has a PTFE plug and accepts 6.4mm I.D. tubing.
Chamber I.D. is 20cm and maximum inside height is 11cm.

The space-saving design of the desiccator dome provides maximum interior clearances, giving an average of 13% greater interior volume than standard hemispherical domes.
EXTRA-HEAVY WALLS
Clear polycarbonate top and white polypropylene bottom (clear base is polycarbonate) have extra heavy walls to eliminate the danger of implosion. This strong, shatterproof desiccator will hold a vacuum of 740mm of Hg (.09MPa) for a period of 24 hours. Maximum temperature 41 C (105 F).
STOPCOCK WITH PTFE PLUG
The polypropylene stopcock has a PTFE plug which turns easily, allowing a slow, gentle entrance of air to prevent unnecessary turbulence and specimen damage. Stopcock handle is high-visibility red. Port accepts 1/4″ (6.4mm) I.D. tubing. Use VRI-2 or Diaphragm Pumping Kit to evacuate the desiccators.
NEOPRENE O-RING
O-ring seal does not require grease, but is not harmed if grease is used. Seal is unaffected by low temperatures down to 0 C.
POLYPROPYLENE BOTTOM SECTION
Provides excellent chemical resistance and permits the use of incandescent crucibles with standard size porcelain plates. The base of the all clear version is polycarbonate.
PERFORATED PLATE
Polypropylene plate supplied is 1/8″ (3.2mm) thick with 1/8″ diameter perforations for air transfer. Plate rests on the retaining ledge of bottom section and has a center hole for easy removal. Desiccant needs to be purchased separately.
