Each pen has different features for laboratory applications.
This sample pack offers the opportunity to test one of each pen type first, to determine the best fit.

STATMARK Permanent Marker for Cassette and Slide Marking
General Use: Histology
Writing Surface: Frosted end microscope slides, plastic cassettes
The STATMARK Pen is the ideal black marker – the one that histology and cytology labs have been waiting for.
It has a permanent ink that, when allowed to dry, resists even the harshest chemicals, including formalin, ethanol, isopropanol and xylene.
The writing remains clean, clear and legible throughout the range of laboratory procedures – including processing and staining.
The ink dries quickly and will not run or smear. It lasts through fixatives, baths, dips, stains, bleaches, and more.
Best of all, the STATMARK Pen will not readily dry out!

Writing Surface: Frosted end microscope slides, plastic cassettes
Premium slide/cassette marker.
Writes smooth, dark and fine on all cassettes and all slides. Use for cytology as a dotting reference marker as well.
Resistant to solvents, light resistant and water resistant on most surfaces.

Histo-Quill™ Pen
General Use: Histology, Cytology
Writing Surface: Plastic embedding cassettes and frosted end of microscope slides.
Resistant To: Water, formalin, ethanol, isopropanol and xylene.
Ultra-permanent ink ideal for histology and cytology. Markings will not run on embedding cassettes, frosted or painted slides or labware through repeated washes and solutions.
Markings can be removed with acetic acid, ethanol/xylene mixture.
Testing is advised before use on actual specimens (black).
Service temperature range: -15 C to 100 C (5 F to 212 F).

Diamond PerfectMark

Resistant To: Water, formalin, ethanol, isopropanol and xylene, abrasion, and high temperatures
The Diamond PerfectMark is a permanent laboratory marker ideal for all laboratory-marking applications.
The fine tip is designed for use on tight spaces such as histology cassettes, microscope slides and cryogenic vials.
The permanent ink is resistant to many laboratory chemicals & solvents. Testing is advised before use on actual specimens.

Securline Lab Marker
General Use: Microbiology / Histology
Writing Surface: Polystyrene petri dishes, metal, glass and most plastic, cold moist surfaces.
Resistant To: Autoclaving and water. Remove from nonporous surfaces with mineral oil or petroleum jelly.
Durable porous plastic tips with permanent, quick-drying, water resistant ink that writes on cold or wet surfaces, plastic bags, or disposable labware.
Markings will not smear on reusable glass, metal, or porcelain labware, but can be scrubbed off. Suitable for general lab, hospital or industrial use (black).
Not suitable for freezing temperatures below 0 C.
Tip size 0.5mm, latex free.

Particularly suitable for writing on cryo-EM grid boxes and cryo storage vials, these markers feel and write like a pen.
There s no offensive smell, and the cap closes with a nice reassuring click.
The ink dries fast and is waterproof.
