SEM Finder and Locator Grid SEMF2
The SEMF2 finder or locator grid has been developed to mount on a standard SEM pin or cylinder stub and allows for easy characterization and analysis of particles, fibers and suspensions distributed over the grid.
There are 57 large cells identified by numbers.
Each large cell is sub-divided into 4 smaller cells, making a total of 228 identifiable cells.
Overall diameter is 10mm

SEM Finder Grid SEMF3
The SEMF3 finder grid needs to be mounted on a standard SEM pin or cylinder stub to aid in mounting small samples.
It has 25 large cells (approx. 1x1mm) identified with alphanumeric positions allowing up to 25 specimens mounted in predetermined positions.
It also provides large asymmetric cut-out feature for easy identification on the SEM stub.
Overall diameter is 10mm
Thickness is 50 m.

Pelcotec SFG12 Finder Grid Substrate
The innovative Pelcotec SFG12 finder grid substrate is a flat, conductive silicon substrate with a die size of 12.5 x 12.5mm.
It is covered with a 1 x 1mm raster giving a total of 12×12=144 fields.
Each field has a unique label using an alphanumeric pattern.
The lines and labels are precision laser etched in the silicon surface. It is the best combination of a flat specimen support and an SEM finder grid.
This unique and innovative product has some resemblance with an engraved SEM specimen mount, but it has a number of additional advantages:
- Flat – there are no height differences like with copper finder grids
- Fine pattern over a large area – better defined than engraved SEM mounts
- Low background signal – same as with Si chip substrates
- For EDX analysis only one element (Si) from the finder substrate
- Practical and easy to navigate – 1mm spacing with 144 fields
- Pattern is visible with naked eye, preparation microscope and SEM
- Gives an approximate size at (very) low magnification
- Can easily be mounted on SEM sample stubs – compatible with most popular sizes
- Can be used with SEM, FIB, XPS/ESCA, Auger and LM

Finder / Locator Grid for SEM Specimens
Designed for use with large specimens, this grid can be used to locate and isolate areas of interest.
A central annulus surrounds the required area, with a small pointer for orientation.
The long arms are tapered to show the direction in which to move and are identified by N, S, E, W.
Two small markers of 500 m and 300 m lengths are incorporated in the central ring.
The inner ring is 2mm inside diameter and 4mm outside diameter.
It is 16mm across the legs.
Thickness is approx. 12 m.
