TB-Stain Hot kit

Kit for staining acid-fast bacteria according to Ziehl-Neelsen

The best known and most widespread method for detecting the presence of tuberculosis bacteria is staining acc. to Ziehl-Neelsen.
Many bacterial cells are easily stained using simple dyes or Gram staining. However, certain bacterial strains, such as Mycobacteria and Nocardia cannot be stained using simple dyes; if stained, the results may vary greatly.

The Ziehl-Neelsen method uses Carbol fuchsin dye, acid alcohol as decolorizing agent and Methylene blue solution as counterstain.
