Smartlam 3.0
The Smartlam 3.0 Single Wheel Convertible Polisher/Grinder is a professional, competitively priced, versatile system that can be configured, as required, with 200mm, 230mm, 250mm or 300mm platens.
The unit includes a Semi-Automatic Head featuring central and variable pressure (0-250N). Sample holders and programmable dosing unit options further extend its usefulness.
When operating with a 300mm platen, up to 6 samples can be ground/polished simultaneously. When operating with a 200mm, 230mm or 250mm platen up to 3 samples can be ground/polished simultaneously.

The platen is driven by a 0.37kW, 0.5hp motor which is complemented by highly efficient torque capabilities. The platen can be operated 20-650rpm in both directions, clockwise and counterclockwise.
To change the configuration, simply remove the insert and lift the platen from the retaining pegs located on the platen base and replace it with the new platen size and insert.
Speed, direction and duration are programmable via an easy to use 3.5″ touch screen and the unit is equipped with a USB port for simple saving and loading of programs.
A water inlet and outlet are located on the rear panel. The retractable tap has an adjustable water flow and allows for easy cleaning. A safety solenoid valve protects the unit and operators.
The optional dispensing unit is a 3 unit doser powered by 3 peristaltic pumps connected to 1 external pump. It is programmed via a touch screen and connected to the grinder/polisher with 1 simple connection. A special nozzle for high viscosity suspensions and a stirrer are also available.

The secured housing is a totally transparent protection compatible with the full range of MASTERLAM. Its opening stops all movements of the machine*, it offers
an integral protection complying with the 2006/42/ CE and 2004/108/CE standards.
The housing s design preserves the accessibility of the plate and does not clutter the workspace.
The touch screen is located outside of the secured zone; therefore, the commands are permanently accessible.
*However, the transparent secured housing authorises the plate rotation in the manual mode.

For the MASTERLAM1.0 and 3.0 the touch screen control panel is located on the right, a 195 mm space needs to be foreseen in addition to the machine width.
